Sandpoint, in the northern tip of Idaho, is situated on magnificent, 43-mile-long Lake Pend Oreille (pronounced pond-o-ray) surrounded by the Selkirk and Cabinet mountains. The lake is a spectacular, glaciated body of water that is the fifth deepest lake (1,158 feet at its greatest depth) in the United States with 111 miles of largely unpopulated shoreline. Its pristine waters and attendant recreational opportunities draw visitors from all parts of the country. Take a boat cruise or kayak tour, rent a houseboat, fish, sail, ride a personal watercraft, windsurf, water ski, swim, or meander along a shoreline trail and simply gawk at the beauty.
Just minutes away is Schweitzer Mountain ski resort. With a dazzling view of Lake Pend Oreille, Schweitzer Mountain Resort lies high in the Selkirk Range where abundant snowfall buries the slopes in more than 300 inches annually. With 2,900 skiable acres, Schweitzer is larger than Sun Valley, Alta, Crested Butte, and Snowbird. Alpine skiing, cross-country ski trails, cat skiing, snowmobiling, zip-lining and tubing are all available.
The town of Sandpoint is home to a thriving arts community, the historic Panida Theater, a busy events schedule, a plethora of excellent restaurants, and unique shopping opportunities. It's a small town gem on a magnificent lake, wrapped in nature's glory.
At the heart of the resort, a spectacular three-story clubhouse called The Retreat resides beside the lake, highlighted by scenic views of water and mountains. Sweeping decks lead out to a lakefront pool and hot spas, idyllic retreats for sunny days and cool, starry nights. On the club's main floor, there is a private dining area and a cozy social room known as The Great Room featuring a warm fireplace for relaxing, entertaining and gathering among family and friends. For the residents and guests of Seasons, a private marina and dock awaits down by the lakeshore. Boat slips are available steps from home. A variety of water vehicles may embark from the marina on any given day from sailing vessels to ski boats, and small water crafts, such as canoes and kayaks. Seasons features a state-of-the-art fitness center. Equipped with complete men's and women's locker room facilities adjacent to the covered deck area, residents will enjoy revitalizing workouts looking beyond to the sparkling pool and expansive lakefront vistas.

Thank you!! A plus and five stars. Took a chance on this place for a week and glad we did. As soon as we set foot on this property and in this condo we knew it was an excellent choice. Beautiful, welcoming, professionally decorated and loaded with amenities. High end finishes so take your shoes off at the entry door, treat everything with great care, and relax. It was more than advertised and worth the long trip for our three couples, college friends who are now just old and empty nest. This is the same kind of an owner that I want occupying my properties because they appreciate and respect quality.
The staff was top notch keeping grounds, pool, hot tub fresh and clean along with nourishing the beach daily. They reserved the grill and adjacent table for us on a few nights and set up a fire pit so we could roast marshmallows on the beach.
Recommend Captain Ken with Seagull Charters in Hope for some fishing. Went fly fishing with Dustin Stetson in Kingston for a day. A side trip to giant cedar forest and Toby's Tavern. Learned pickle ball at the local racquet club. Walked the local shops. Added to the cork collection. Bought and left an empty large magnum wine bottle from the local winery. If you take the bottle back you get $10 off on a refill like a growler for wine.
Hiked the two-mile shoreline adjacent to the parcel. Hiked Tubs Hill in Cours de Lane. Hiked Green Hill to the top and back down. Walked the bridge to Sandpoint. Best hike and viewing was at the Schweitzer ski hill peak on opening day for the summer season gondola. The restaurant at the top is brand new. There we hiked peak to peak (1 mile each way) and down the mountain (2.5 miles) and a bit of a quad burn but worth it.
Drove to Dover Bay for a seaplane flight over the entire lake region.
Left a note in the guestbook and read the cute letter from Grifin. Underground heated parking must be awesome for winter skiers.
Next visit we hope to take the train from Michigan.
Suggestions for improvement:
-like most owners of second homes, paying only for basic internet speed is the common practice which creates spotty and slow access. Fast and reliable internet coupled with a high-end router would be appreciated and allow us to extend our stay.
-The dryer probably should be upgraded.
These are minor and we can't wait to go back! Actually following up on a possible purchase of one of these units.
