This property is situated overlooking beautiful green fields. The Doghouse provides a peaceful, comfortable and luxurious base from which to explore Oxford, her villages, and the surrounding countryside.
Our guests enjoy 60 sq m (645 sq ft) of space over two levels, and a private patio area: The first-floor bedroom is accessed via a wooden spiral staircase, and has a large king-size bed. Due to limited amount of hanging space and storage for clothes in The Doghouse, this is best suited to weekend breaks and/or short stays.
The ground-floor living area is open-plan: The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, microwave/convection oven, toaster, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and there is a breakfast table with stools. Finally, the bathroom has a spacious glass shower cubicle (towels and shower gel provided), wash basin and lavatory.
For entertainment, there is a large flat-screen TV (Sky included) which is wall-mounted in the comfy living area, with a DVD player, and a selection of DVDs, or guests can bring their own. WiFi is provided for our guests, with a large desk space and printer, for those who need to work!
The Doghouse has cosy underfloor heating for the winter, and fans are provided during hot weather.
Outside, there is a small, secluded patio area, equipped with a garden sofa, parasol and a bistro table with chairs for two. This is all overlooking fields where horses regularly graze, silhouetted against the light of the sun which sets beyond.

This property is situated on the outer edge of the Blenheim Palace estate, and the main palace site is a 5-10 minute drive away. This makes The Doghouse an ideal base for attending events at Blenheim, including private weddings, the CLA Game Fair, Classic Car Shows, Concerts, Horse trials etc.

The property is situated approximately 20-30 minutes from junction 8 of the M40. Full directions will be provided once the booking is confirmed. The nearest train station, Hanborough, is served by hourly trains from London Paddington station. Hanborough station is approximately 1 mile from the property, but a car is recommended to get around and enjoy the area. There are regular Park n Ride buses serving Oxford city centre from several hubs around the city. The nearest of these is Peartree, approximately 10-15 minutes from us.
It is useful to have a car, as the local taxies are expensive. The distances between local villages does not make it easy to walk.
