Our beautiful double story home exchange is in a lush private garden with an upstairs sunny plunge pool. There is a spacious open upstairs verandah with views of the lagoon and the Knysna Heads. On the verandah there is a dining table with bench seating for 12, a built in gas BBQ and lounging seating for 10.
There are 4 double bedrooms (3 en suite) with a 4th shower room. There is a further room with 2 double bunks in need. We have a guest loo upstairs. The main bedroom en-suite is upstairs leading off the living room with a large walk in cupboard. Upstairs flowing entertainment area with a study leading onto the living room/dining room (12 seater table and chairs) leads onto the pool.
A newly installed Scan wood fireplace is in the living room for cold nights. A modern gourmet kitchen recently refurbished with a SMEG 5 plate gas hob and electric oven stove. The kitchen opens onto the pool. At the back of the kitchen is a fully equipped scullery and laundry. Downstairs is a large TV lounge and bar (seating 8) with an under counter fridge, foosball, dart board and DVD machine. There are 4 TV's '(1 upstairs living room/1downstairs lounge/1 study/1kitchen) 3 of which are HD and all connected to DSTV satellite enabling 3 different channels to be watched at the same time. In the garage are 2 kayaks and 3 bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas. The house is perfect for large groups as well as a couple who would only need to use the top level. The house is serviced by a housekeeper we have had for 10 years and we can discuss how often you would require her. The garden and the pool are maintained by external contractors.

Leisure Isle, surrounded on all sides by the waters of a tidal estuary, is separated from the mainland by a causeway. A sea wall surrounds the island, and the ebb and flow of the tides in the lagoon and salt marshes add to its unique character and ensure a constantly changing scene. The total circumference of Leisure Isle is 4km. There are 450 houses on the island of which more than half are occupied by permanent residents. Along the shores of the Island lie beaches, parks and areas of protected natural vegetation. Leisure Isle is a residential suburb, with narrow roads, little lanes and lovely gardens but the water is never far away, and the matchless views in all directions contribute to the special ambience of the place and the sense of being at one with nature. The estuary and the Island are home to a rich variety of birds. The lifestyle of the Island has always been true to its name, with something for the very young, the very old and everyone in between. It is a perfect place to enjoy building sandcastles, swimming, boating, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, kite-boarding and fishing, not to mention walking, jogging, roller-blading and cycling. Tennis courts and bowling greens, table tennis, bridge and yoga add tothe choices, and there are two rated golf courses within 5km of Leisure Isle. There are many restaurants, coffee shops and food stores in the town of Knysna which is approximately 6km from Leisure Isle, there is also a wonderful coffee shop on the island which offers excellent breakfasts, coffees and lunches. There are also 2 wonderful restaurants up on the Eastern Head which no more than 2km from Leisure Isle. Knysna is on the famous Garden Route and is 490km from Cape Town. About a 5.5 hour drive by car and just under an hours flight from Cape Town International airport to George Airport, which is an hours drive by car to Knysna.
