In an elevated position with spectacular views, this Villa has been extended and then refurbished annually. The result is a large, quiet and stylish Villa that is also within 300m of restaurants, beach bar (with rocky cove for swimming) and a bank (with ATM). A little further, still within easy walking distance, are two sandy beaches and the fishing port village of Moraira.
In the morning, the sun rises over the Moraira headland above El Portet - which can be seen from the upstairs bedroom (the ‘tower room’), the pool terrace, the upper terrace and the ‘Naya’ (the glass-enclosed covered terrace). During the day the sun moves around the pool terrace (which is perfect for private sunbathing), although areas of shade under the new pergola or in the Naya can be found for those who seek it. Later in the day you can enjoy watching the sun set from the west-facing barbeque area in the garden which is planted with bougainvillea and young fruit trees (lemon, olive, pomegranate, orange, etc).
Airports: To reach Moraira, you can fly either to Valencia (about 85 minutes to the Villa) or Alicante (about 70 minutes to the Villa), both of which have scheduled flights from major cities in Europe. Alternatively, the villa is about four hours drive from Barcelona airport and a little more from Madrid (both on high quality roads).
Walking distance from the villa: one aspects that guests repeatedly say they enjoy is the location of the Villa, only minutes' walk to bars and restaurants as well as the sea. (There are many more restaurants that are also within walking distance.) With the Villa being slightly uphill there are outstanding views of the coastline and the sea from the pool terrace (and Moraira's fireworks displays).
Mountain walking and golf: from October to May (before the weather is too hot for walking), there are many beautiful walks in the local mountain range. You may prefer to walk on your own or you can join the local Costa Blanca walking group which twice-weekly programme is printed in the local Costa Blanca News paper. Proper walking shoes (not trainers) are vital., the nearest of which is only 2Km from the Villa.
There are also five golf courses within a one hour drive.

Villa Alessandra Luisa is located in the quiet residential area of Moravit in Moraira, yet is within easy walking distance (less than 300m) from a bank with ATM, many restaurants, a rocky cove for sea swimming and snorkelling, a beach bar. Two large supermarkets are near-by - Mas y Mas and one called Pepe La Sal, both with an excellent range of groceries including a bakery and delicatessen meat/cheese counter. Both are located about 500M and 1km along the road towards Calpe. Other supermarkets and specialist food shops – particularly an excellent fish store – can be found in and around Moraira. The centre of Moraira – and the best beach – are less than 2 km away, with a smaller sandy beach about 1km from the villa. Moraira has a yachting marina and the tiny but charming beach village of El Portet is a further 1km beyond.

This delightful property lived up to our expectations by the photo.
We were able to text the caretaker prior to our arrival and as we came closer so we were welcomed soon after arrival. A minor bedding problem was sorted immediately. The house was clean, very well appointed both internally and around the pool. Great situation with a short walk to delightful cafe for coffee or meals and just a little further for our morning croissants.
Great library particularly with books on Spanish history and geography and suggestions where to travel. Local town had not too many high rise which pleased us, and not overrun with English Fish & Chip restaurants.
Weather lovely and warm and only one wet day......We would love to return.
