    Description

    We have a terraced house dating from approx 1930 which retains many of its traditional features. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 sitting rooms, one of which has an extra sofa bed. There is a small, private and sunny garden at the back of the house. We have a small 14 year old outdoor cat who would be in residence. She is well used to home exchange sitters.

    The house is in the Trinity area of Edinburgh. This is a quiet residential area to the north of the city which has unrestricted parking. There is a good bus service into the city centre (10-15 mins) or you can walk it in about 30 minutes. We are located in the centre of the North Edinburgh cycle path network, which gives great options for cyclists, walkers and runners. We are about a 10-15 minutes walk from the Botanic Gardens.

    Edinburgh needs no introduction. It is Scotland's capital city and a haven of galleries, theatres, museums and restaurants. The Edinburgh Festival in August and New Year Hogmanay celebrations are world famous, but Edinburgh is a wonderful city to visit at any time of year. It is a compact city and easy to get around on foot, or by bus. The house is in the Trinity/Goldenacre area on the north side of Edinburgh. It is a 10 minute bus ride/drive into the city centre, or a 30 minute walk, mainly on cycle paths. We are located in the centre of the North Edinburgh Cycle Path network, giving great opportunities for walkers, cyclists and runners.

    Getting there

    Edinburgh Airport is approx 8 miles away, about 30 minutes by taxi. Alternatively you can take the new tram service into Princes then get a bus. The main railway station is Waverley. A taxi from here will take approx 10 minutes, or it is possible to get a bus - 5 minute walk, then 10 minutes by bus, followed by a 2 minute walk.   

    The house is in an unrestricted parking area, so there would be no parking concerns for anyone bringing their own car. Edinburgh has an excellent bus service; the nearest bus stops are 2 minutes walk away, with buses every 10 minutes during the week, 15-30 minutes at the weekend. The nerest supermarket (Tesco) is 15 minute walk. A car exchange may be possible.
