Haven is a mere five-minute easy walk to the beach and the hillside location offers superb panorama ocean views. The house has a generous 15 m2 (50ft sq) front deck but thoughtful design (including north/south orientation) has placed the large main deck in a sheltered position at the rear of the building, and preserved access to the ocean views via massive "see through" front and rear windows and glass sliding doors. The main deck is a tremendously versatile all seasons living and entertaining area - protected from summer sun and wind both by its position and large shade sails, and equipped with a six burner BBQ and 8 person outdoor furniture setting.
Modern building materials, an abundance of natural light pouring through numerous windows, and a huge uncluttered open plan living area give Haven a very stylish contemporary feel. Ceiling fans, reverse cycle air conditioning and a Massport Panorama wood heater make the house a comfort zone in either summer or winter. Visitors who appreciate fine food will also relish the well stocked pantry, fully equipped kitchen with 3.6 metre island bar and dining table seating six - which supplement the main deck BBQ and outdoor setting. Cutlery, place settings, wine glasses, etc are provided, and the kitchen is well supplied with quality cookware and serving dishes.
Haven provides spacious accommodation for 6 people and an extra person on the loungerrom sofa. All linen is provided.

Fairhaven and Aireys Inlet, are stunning highlights of the Great Ocean Road. One of the coast's oldest settlements, Aireys Inlet and Fairhaven have grown around the famous Split Point Lighthouse into beautiful holiday villages with breathtaking scenery and an abundance of activities. There is a general store and a range of craft stores and galleries. There are superb cafes and restaurants and a wide range of outdoor activities to be enjoyed all along the Surf Coast. Horse riding, fishing, surfing, mountain biking, canoeing, and excellent hang gliding are features of the area. Beautiful cliff walks take in the rocky reefs and sheltered coves which are a feature of the town. The Great Otway National Park (22,350 hectares of hilly bushland) backs the town and contains heath lands rich in orchids and ground plants, several types of eucalypt forest, melaleuca swamp and fern gullies.
