Our villa in Begur is a construction built in 1869 by a wealthy businessman who went to cuba to make fortune. On his return he had this beautiful masion built in the heart of Begur. Today the property has been seperated and our home is the main level that remains intact with the original floors, ceilings and doors. All in one level with extensive spaces, the spaciousness and calmness that the home offers is a contrast to the town’s bustle, especially in high season.
The bedrooms are vast spaces as the original chambers; double rooms with incredible wooden works on the doors to divide the diferent areas in each chamber. The living room and dinning room are spacious and englobed with the beauty of the frescoed ceilings and high marquetry doors.
The "palace feeling" to the home makes it a unforgetable experience, which combined with the extensive cultural offer of Begur and the delights of the breathtaking coast with the best beaches and coves of the Costa Brava, make it a location of great demand.

Our villa has the privilege to be in the heart of the charming bustling Bohemian town of Begur, situated on the top of the mountain proudly overlooking the sought after beaches and coves that belong to it. The delights of the coast of Begur have been oft-praised, and there is no doubt that they are the perfect foil to the delight of the town itself. The whole municipality boasts a succession of beaches spread out over geographical areas of true overwwhelming beauty. Visitors really should get to know all of them, if they wish to understand the diversity of the scenery of the Costa Brava.
Begur and it’s surroundings area, has a long and exciting history that visitors can get to know by visiting the medieval castle that dominates the town and looking at the many Indian houses as well as the layout and profile of the streets and alleys in the old town. Tourism in Begur is complemented by intense and interesting business activities. Part of the attraction lies in the location. The comercial centre is found, mainly, in the old town centre and in plaza forgas.

This is a truly beautiful property to fully immerse ourselves in the culture of Costa Brava. The 2nd floor apartment was very atmospheric and the owners have maintained it well. Naomi welcomed us upon arrival to explain the neighborhood, and a bottle of local wine. We stayed for 7 days in late May, and drove from Barcelona to Begur. During that time, we squeezed in a drive to Carcasonne, France; to Girona, Cadaques and Figueres, all within a days traveltime. It is also possible to just spend the whole week in Begur, as the town is quite charming with lots of beaches within 5 minutes drive and a lively restaurant scene. Our favorite time of the day was just before sunset, the property has a nice balcony and the smell of jasmine with the distant whiff of the Atlantic was just the perfect thing to end the day!
