Chalet Les Hirondelle has a modern well equipped kitchen. Has large American style fridge freezer, no TV but flat screen DVD for films and Ipod connection playback and CD system.
The chalet is small with an open plan kitchen, dining, lounge area. There are four bedrooms (two doubles and two twin) plus a shower/wc room downstairs and a full bathroom wc upstairs.
The main attraction in summer is the high alpine walking and in winter simply stunning skiing. The chalet has a navette (ski shuttle) which stops right outside the chalet and runs all day.
The ski area is Paradiski made up of Les Arcs and La Plagne Peisey.
There is an outstanding restauarant, L'Ancolie, which is immediately opposite the chalet ( described by the Sunday Times as the main reason to ski in Les Arcs.
Nancroix is an authentic French mountain village.
The skiing area is huge and can keep an expert busy for two weeks but equally suitable for a beginner.
In the summer, swimming pools and tennis courts and golf courses are a short ride away. A car is essential to enjoy the area but in winter the ski shuttle bus runs all the day.
Local girl will arrange lift passes and ski hire for skiers.
Easyjet and Jet2.com fly to Chambery (1 hour drive), Lyons (2 hour drive) and Geneva (3 hour drive).
The TGV also runs to Bourg St Maurice in the valley or you can drive from Channel Tunnel in around 8 hrs - 10 hrs depending on traffic and time of year.
There are shuttle buses that run to Vallandry and the ski lifts at Peisey and Plan Peisey (the area is made up of six mountain villages.
