The cottage is bright and airy with clean, modern conveniences, and located within a security estate. It has 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and a large kitchen with all you require for a comfortable stay. Linen is crisp and fresh, and comfortable beds for a good nights sleep.

There is private parking and a small garden in which to enjoy the best of South African wines as the sun goes down over the Outeniqua mountains.

Knysna is known as the jewel of the garden route, which is a coastal area situated between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. The town offers great restaurants, good shopping (including upmarket boutiques as well as local arts and crafts) and the cottage is only 5 minutes drive from the beautiful precinct of Leisure Isle and its lovely walks and birdlife, as well as from the stunning Knysna heads, where it is possible to take a dip in the clean deep water of the sheltered lagoon. Many attractions are within a half an hour to 2 hours drive away, which makes Knysna perfect for an active holiday or just some rest and relaxation. It is also known for its golf courses, including Pezula ( 10 mins drive) Simola ( 15 Mins drive) and the world renowned Fancourt ( 1 hours drive). There are a few game lodges which offer excellent diversity of wild animals, the most famous being Shamwari and th Addo Elephant Park which are good overnight stays if you want to venture further afield.

A maid service is available once a week at an extra cost approx $20 per day.

The nearest international airport is Cape Town, which is 5 hours drive by car, or the nearest domestic ariport is George, which is 50 mins away. It is advisable to hire a car, and this can be arranged to pick up at the airport. South Africa has an excellent road network, drives on left hand side of the road.
