The hotel overlooks Four Mile Beach with gently sloping sands and warm waters. Port Douglas, the tropical gem in Australia, 1 hour journey north of Cairns, is set amongst green canefields where the Rainforest covered rugged Great Divide mountains tumble down to meet the Coral Sea. It is the centre for diving and snorkelling trips to the Great Barrier Reef or Low Isles as well as offering fishing, golf (three local courses), nature and walking trips to Cape Tribulation and the Daintree World Heritage Rainforest, crocodile parks. Sailing, watersports are all available.

There are also the delightful Tablelands to be explored with coffee plantations, canegrowing, tobacco, a Mango winery and many fruits and vegetable grown, all within an hour's drive of Port Douglas.

The hotel is conveniently located close to shops and restaurants..most within 10 minutes walk.

By air.. fly into Cairns International Airport then a 1 hour journey by limousine, hire car or shuttlebus( 1.1/2 hrs). It is also possible to take a train journey from Brisbane over three days.

All tours collect from the hotel and shops and restaurants are only 10 minutes walk, so a car is not necessary unless you wish to explore the Tablelands or other spots independently.
