Fingal Head is magical, the area of the Tweed Valley is known for its sheer beauty and combination of lush valley and glorious oceans...You could drive to the lower section of the Great Barrier Reef about a 2-3 hour drive north, although there is plenty of diving and snorkling to do at your front door. Fingal Beach has a turtle nursery which is accessable by kayak or boat right off the beach....
The closest airport is Coolangatta 20 minutes drive from my home. Direct flight are available from Sydney to Coolangatta, and Brisbane has direct flights to and from the USA.
