Best location in New Zealand - five minutes from historic Arrowtown and ten minutes from Queenstown. You definitely need a car here but we can include our 1998 Toyota Landcruiser which seats 7. There are four skifields nearby, and loads of golf courses. We have Lake Hayes at the bottom of our drive, and plenty of other lakes and rivers nearby. The house is an 1860 stone homestead, and is set in parklike grounds. With a tennis court, snooker room and swimming pool, lots of guests hardly go anywhere at all! You can walk to New Zealand's top winery restaurant - Amisfield - by strolling down through orchards and vineyards. It is a big house - 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, plus a 4 bed bunkroom, but it is nice and cosy if you are a small group as well. We have indoor fires, and a huge outdoor fireplace. Our cat, dog and bird stay here all the time, but our housekeeper lives on the property to care for them.

Best location in the whole country - ten minutes from Queenstown Airport, an easy drive to Queenstown, Arrowtown, golf courses, skifields, vineyards - everything. And if you want to go walking - there are dozens of great walks that don't even need a car.

We are an easy ten minute drive from Queenstown Airport on the Lake Hayes Road. We are 51/2 hours drive from Christchurch, 3 hours from Dunedin and 2 from Invercargill.
