The Tower House functions as a deluxe two bedroom suite, with a living room, den bedroom, master bedroom and two bathrooms en suite, as well as a third 'powder room' bathroom off the foyer.

It has a fireplace in the living room, and wonderful views of the Avon River. Queen size beds, both with down comforters and pillows are in the bedrooms. Modern European and North American furniture is featured. Seasonal, healthy breakfasts, consisting of local organic products are served daily. Rundles is located next door (http://www.rundlesrestaurant.com/), and is considered one of the best modern restaurants in Canada. Rundles luncheon and dinner menus can also be served in the house, during restaurant hours.

*Prime Time offer or 7+ night stay, we will provide complimentary airport chauffeur service to and from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). The above offer is for a maximum of 4 guests. Please ask for more details.

The Tower House was designed by the respected young Canadian architectural firm Shim-Sutcliffe, and was chosen as a "Record House" by Architectural Record in April 2002. (http://archrecord.construction.com/projects/residential/archives/0204Tower.asp)

"Life moves at a stately pace in the farm town of 30,000, less than two hours from Toronto. Stay a couple of days to rent pedal boats, feed swans, and stroll through verdant gardens, stopping to picnic by the water, and saunter through galleries and antique stores. By night, explore Stratford's culinary and theatrical offerings. This Stratford, like its British namesake, is famed for its theater festival. Running May through October, the festival keeps things delightfully dramatic in this sleepy Ontario town." [Out Traveler Magazine: 2009.] Cultural highlights in Stratford include: Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Stratford Summer Music (http://www.stratfordsummermusic.ca/), Gallery Stratford (http://www.gallerystratford.on.ca/), Savour Stratford Culinary Festival (http://www.savourstratford.com/), and Stratford Chefs School (http://stratfordchef.com/). Other solid restaurants in town to visit include Bijou (http://www.bijourestaurant.com/), Down the Street (http://www.downthestreet.ca/), The Prune (http://theprune.com/), Mercer Hall Bistro (http://www.mercerhall.com/), and Pazzo (http://www.pazzo.ca/). For more information about Stratford, and the surrounding region, please visit the Stratford Tourism Alliance webpage (http://www.welcometostratford.com/). Excellent half-day and full day trips from Stratford, include visits to St. Jacobs, Elora Gorge, and Fergus; Bayfield, Goderich, Grand Bend, and the Pinery Provincial Park; and of course, Niagara Falls, Niagara wineries (www.winesofontario.org), and the Shaw Festival in scenic Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario (http://www.shawfest.com/). Toronto is the closest major city, and makes for a great destination to stay before or after visiting Stratford. Further afield, we are close enough by car to Buffalo, New York, as well as, Detroit, Michigan. Stratford is well connected to Canada's national rail service, Via Rail (http://www.viarail.ca/en_index.html), with regular train service to and from Toronto; and the other direction, south to London, Ontario, where one can link to many other destinations in the Province. Lastly, small jets can land at Stratford Municipal Airport.

Wonderful accommodation, fabulous restaurant and perfect location. If you can imagine having a spacious and well-appointed house (amazing kitchen, great entertainment area, 2 fantastic bedrooms) next door to a restaurant with a superb menu and excellent wine list all in a perfect setting of Stratford to enjoy theatre, local shops and a very enjoyable walk along the river. Plenty of little touches that make this a very special ‘getaway’. A real treat!
